The transcription is. The Whisper model has to download once (like installing an app), and from then on the audio processing happens on your device. Your media file never leaves it.
Which languages does it handle?
Whisper supports dozens of languages, and you can pick the language or let it auto-detect. The smaller English-only models are the fastest if your audio is in English.
Can I fix mistakes before exporting?
Yes — there’s a cue editor for correcting wording and timing, then you export SRT, VTT or plain text.
Is it really free? What’s the catch?
