- Set the target size. Type any target in KB (minimum 20 KB) or pick a preset — 300 KB, 500 KB, 1 MB, 2 MB or 4 MB.

How can it compress a PDF without a server?
Modern browsers can run serious computation. The compressor is delivered to your browser as code and does its work there — the same way a desktop app would, minus the install. The PDF is opened from your disk and written back to your disk.
Is there a file size limit?
No hard limit — no server means no upload cap. Very large files are bounded only by your device’s memory.
Is it really free? What’s the catch?
There isn’t one. Because the work happens on your device instead of our servers, each use costs us almost nothing — so everything that runs locally is free forever: no watermarks, no size limits, no usage counters, no trial that expires.
